Dr Martin Mwinga

Executive Chairman

Martin has more than 25 year’s experience in the financial industry. He began his career in the financial markets in 1996 spending five years at the Bank of Namibia. In 2000, he joined STANLIB Asset Management and served as the Executive Director and Investment Manager, before moving to FNB Group to establish RMB Asset Management Namibia in 2004. After successfully building RMB Asset Management in Namibia, Martin resigned his position as CEO of RMB Asset Management in 2009 to set up First Capital Treasury Solution. Martin is a Certified Portfolio Manager (CPM), holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from California Intercontinental University; two Master’s Degrees in Economic Analysis (Macquarie University, Australia) and an MScFinancial Economics (University of London – external). Other qualifications include a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Namibia, a CAIB, an Advanced diploma in unit trust investments, a Certificate in Investments and Portfolio Management (UNISA), a Certificate in Government Treasury Management and Debt Administration (the University of Georgia in the USA – distance), and a Professional Certificate in Corporate Treasury Management(CTM) – New York Institute of Finance.

Mr. Tafadzwa Mashozhera

Chief Financial Officer

Tafadzwa is a Chartered Accountant (Namibia) and has over 15years financial services experience ranging from financial analysis and accounting, financial and management accounting, financial reporting, taxation, audit reviews and project management. He is currently the Chief Financial Officer, who is also responsible for managing our money market portfolio. Before joining FCTS, Tafadzwa completed his articles with BDO and worked for Deloitte and BDO Namibia as an Audit Manager and Senior Audit Manager respectively. He has gained valuable experience in a dimension of industries which includes Financial Services, Power generation, Health, Mining, Transport and Manufacturing. Notable clients that Tafadzwa worked on include GIPF, Murray & Roberts, Nedbank, Roads Contractor Company, Namibia Institute of Pathology, and DeBeers Namibia amongst others. Tafadzwa has also worked for NAMFISA in the Provident Institutions Division which regulates Medical Aid Funds, Friendly Societies and Pension Funds. His employment at NAMFISA has given him wide experience which made him an expert in the non-banking financial sector (Pension funds, Life and Non-life Insurance, Medical Aid funds/Health Insurance and Finance, Micro-finance/Insurance. Tafadzwa has also served as a member of the Investment Committee responsible for managing the investments at NAMFISA.

Ruusa is an admitted Legal Practitioner and member of the Law Society of Namibia for the past 20 years. She is currently employed at the Namibia Statistics Agency as Company Secretary and Legal Advisor. Ruusa started her career as a Candidate Legal Practitioner and Project Lawyer at the Legal Assistance Center. Thereafter she joined the Directorate Legal Counsel at the National Assembly as Deputy Director: Legal Counsel and Acting Director. Ruusa joined NAMFISA in 2006 as Board Secretary where her primary role was to advise Board and Management on business ethics and good governance. She holds an LLB Degree from the University of Natal, South Africa, and a BA Law Degree from the University of Western Cape. In addition, she holds an Intellectual Property Law Certificate from UNISA, a Senior Management Development Certificate from Stellenbosch University and an International Executive Leadership Development Program from Wits Business School in South Africa. She comes with a wealth of experience ingovernance having served on the Boards of the Public and Private Sectorsas well as non-governmental organisations such as the Red Cross and Namibia Organization of People Living with HIV/Aids (Nanaso).

Jeremy George

Chairperson of the Credit and Investment Committee

Jeremy is a registered Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Namibia (ICAN). He is currently employed as the Group Chief Executive Officer at the Frans Indongo Group. He started his career by completing his training at Deloitte & Touché after three years and was an Audit Manager for a further 18 months. During this time, he was seconded to the Los Angeles and Toronto Deloitte offices for three months each, servicing major international clients. He joined IJG Securities (Pty) Ltd in September 2007 as a Financial Manager and assisted with corporate finance transactions. In November 2011, he commenced employment with VPB Namibia (Pty) Ltd, a private equity fund manager, as a Senior Investment Associate. Jeremy holds a BCom Degree (Management Accounting) and Hons BCom (Financial Accounting) from the University of Stellenbosch and BCompt (Hons) from the University of South Africa.
